The Only Winter Run You Don’t Need A Jacket For

The SkyRun is a one-of-a-kind winter race that takes runners entirely through Downtown Duluth’s connected skywalk system. The course winds through hallways, over streets, around corners, and through downtown buildings, creating a race experience unlike anything else in the region. Designed to bring people downtown, get them moving, and add some fun to the middle of winter, the SkyRun welcomes everyone from competitive runners chasing a fast time to participants looking for a unique way to experience Duluth. The event also supports the Downtown Duluth Clean & Safe Team and the work they do throughout the downtown district.
Runners gather at the DECC, get ready, and hit the course together. From the starting line, it’s straight into Duluth’s skywalk system for a winter race unlike anything else in town.
Race through downtown hallways, buildings, twists, turns, and enclosed bridges as the course takes you through the heart of Duluth, all without having to bundle up for the cold.
After making your way through downtown, it’s time to turn toward the DECC and push for the finish. Run for a fast time, race your friends, or just enjoy the ride.
Cross the finish line and stick around for the celebration! Grab a drink, refuel, compare race stories, and celebrate with fellow SkyRun runners at the official afterparty.

Absolutely! This event is perfect for runners of all levels, from seasoned racers to first-time fun-runners. The course is designed to be entertaining and accessible for almost everyone. Please note there are some stairs on coiurse
Due to the ups and downs of the skywalk system the course is not completely ADA Accessible. For those in a wheelchair their are elevators but it may slow down your time.
The Going Bananas Run is Duluth’s most fun and unique way to race while raising money for a great cause. All participants wear a banana suit and run a “two-ish” mile course while being cheered on by fans. After 3 minutes, “The Gorilla” is released to chase the racers. If you beat “The Gorilla” to the finish line, you’ll earn a special prize, and donations will be made to a local food shelf in your honor!
